Having experience in whistleblowing within both private and NHS healthcare sectors, I have developed a passion for patient safety, quality service provision, and achieving the highest standards in all areas of business.
At 18, I initiated a business focusing on nutrition and holistic healthcare. Training as a mental health nurse provided me with the medical background necessary to understand patient needs comprehensively. Working in various positions across different services allowed me to observe the range of provision quality and to recognize the importance of management ethos in ensuring the quality and safety for all involved.
During my tenure with the Care Quality Commission, I served as an inspector, team leader, and trainer for new inspectors. In these roles, I identified key attributes of effective inspectors and distilled best practices in governance. I streamlined and adapted these approaches to ensure compliance across all sectors of the health economy, eliminating unnecessary complexity.
After 15 years of employment with various organizations, I realized that my ultimate goal was to work independently and ensure that each project reflected my core values. The four fundamental elements that constituted the foundation of top-quality service, and aligned with my principles, were Greatness, Integrity, Vision, and Excellence.
Hence, GIVE Consulting was established.
